Our Team

Dr. Mesfin's passion is for preventative care medicine and being a partner with pet owners in taking care of their pet's health care. Dr. Mesfin is a 2000 graduate of Utrecht University, The Netherlands. Utrecht university veterinary faculty is the very first veterinary faculty to get accreditation by AVMA outside the North America and it is the only veterinary school in The Netherlands.

Veterinary Tech/Receptionist Missy has been working at Upper Marlboro Veterinarian Hospital since 2022.  Missy has been working in the pet health care profession for few years, 

Veterinary Tech/Receptionist Nastassja is an experienced client service coordinator and Vet tech, Nastassja has been with Upper Marlboro Veterinarian Hospital since the beginning of 2022. Nastassja has been working with animals for a while. In the years to come Nastassja plans to continue the training to be a certified veterinary technician and the care she provides as a Veterinarian Technician/Receptionist at Upper Marlboro Veterinarian Hospital.

Senait serves as assistant administrator at UMVH. Beside working as a licensed practical nurse at a retirement home, her role here is for a smooth and efficient operation of the hospital. Senait lives in Crofton with her husband Dr. Mesfin and twin girls Mahlet and Meklit, a 4 yr old Bichon and Shi Tzu mix - Twister and a 16 yr old DSH cat - Mobie.

Veterinary Tech/Receptionist/Office manager Duvie is an experienced client service coordinator and Vet tech, Duvie joined us in October 2021 with at least 5 years veterinary technician/receptionist experience. She loves what she does, and she is fun to work with. Duvie  is very educated in the field of Veterinarian studies and is inspired by the great doctor she works with. Jessica has been working with animals since 2005. In the years to come Duvie plans to continue the training to be a certified veterinary technician and the care she provides as a Veterinarian Technician/Receptionist at Upper Marlboro Veterinarian Hospital.

Shauntee Washington has been with us for over 4 years now as a part time vet tech assistant. She is a very dedicated hard-working staff who is there to help everyone when help is needed.
